How to find Littonfields Barn

If we are not around when you arrive please come to the farmhouse which is through the green gate or the cottage which is the brown door near the entrance. 

From the M1 North or South we suggest Junction 29
  •  Take the A617 for Chesterfield
  •  Follow the signs for Chatsworth – A619 to Baslow
  •  At the roundabout in Baslow village take the A623 for Stockport
  •  This will take you through Calver & Stoney Middleton villages.
  •  Approx 2 miles on from Stoney  Middleton you will pass a The Three Staggs public house on your right and a café on your left.
  •  As you continue up the hill you will come to a left turn sign posted Litton & Cressbrook – take this.
  •  As you descend into the village we are on the left, next to the 30mph sign – opposite two new houses. 
  •  The entrance is between Littonfields Barn and Elmside Cottage.
  •  Please park in front of the barn which is to your left as you come into the yard.
From the M6 North we suggest Junction 19 Knutsford

This takes you over the Cat & Fiddle road which is not recommended in bad weather – in which case we suggest Stockport & the A6 – see below

  •  Take the A537 to Macclesfield  & then Buxton
  •  From Buxton, take the A6 for Bakewell
  •  Approx. 3 miles from Buxton take the B6049 for Tideswell & Millers Dale
  •  You will pass through Millers Dale (under the old railway bridge), Tideswell Dale Picnic Site  on the right.
  •  Take the right turn for Litton (If you reach Tideswell then you have gone too far!!!)
  •  Pass through Litton Village until you see the end of the speed limit.
  •  The entrance is on the right between Littonfields Barn and Elmside Cottage. (We are opposite two new houses.)
  •  Please park in front of the barn which is to your left as you come into the yard.
From the M6 North via Stockport M60

This is a busier route but in bad weather is safer.

  •  Take the A6 until you have passed Chapel-en-le-frith,
  •  Take the first exit at the next roundabout, signposted  A623 Chesterfield.
  •  Pass through Peak Forest village and continue for approx 2 miles, passing the Anchor Pub on the left.
  •  Continue for approx. 1 mile before taking the right handed turn for Litton & Cressbrook. 
  •  You will descend into the village of Litton and we are on the left just as you reach to 30mph sign. The entrance is between Littonfields Barn and Elmside Cottage.
