Littonfields Barn is located on our family farm adjacent to Cressbrook Dale Nature Reserve.

It is a livestock farm with both cattle and sheep, having been in the Weston family for over 50 years. We have Holstein cattle, the black and white ones, which calve in the summer and autumn.

We also have a small flock of pedigree Texel sheep which lamb in February and March. They are the Limestone Flock, which is named after the traditional limestone walls which you will find on the farm, creating the distinctive patchwork of fields synonymous with the Peak District.

The farm is also home to a wonderful range of wildlife including our marvellous brown hares, partridges, pheasants and buzzards. Spring brings wild flowers in abundance, with early purple orchids, saxifrages, cuckoo flower and cowslips carpeting the fields and grassy slopes of nearby Cressbrook Dale.

We are happy to give you a guided tour of the farm, show you the animals, and let the children have a sit on one of the tractors – please just ask. Please remember to bring your wellies!!

For your own safety we ask that you do not wander around the farm unattended.
